Ceylon Cinnamon powder is a low-calorie spice, with two teaspoons containing only twelve calories. It is low in protein and fat, but two teaspoons of cinnamon powder provide about 10% of the daily recommended fiber. According to USDA data, cinnamon powder is a good source of manganese, with a two-teaspoon serving of cinnamon powder providing over one-third of the recommended daily manganese intake. The same two teaspoons of cinnamon powder also offer about 10% of your daily iron and 6% of your daily calcium requirements. The mineral content of 10 grams of cinnamon powder (approximately 1 1/2 tablespoons) is shown in the graph to the right. Magnesium, phosphorous, potassium, selenium, sodium, zinc, niacin, and vitamin K are all found in trace amounts in cinnamon powder.
